In this pocket, you will find any important notes from the office and/or
notes from our classroom, such as our classroom newsletter. |

Use this pouch to send in any lunch money, popcorn money,
field trip slips/money, book orders, etc. |

Home/School Communication
|
This section will be used for notes between you and me. The students should
not write in this section. I will write notes in this section and
look for communications from you. PLEASE DATE EACH ENTRY! Please
check daily for notes as I will be doing the same. Also, please leave all
notes in the binder so we can look back and remember any communication we
may have had. I will initial all notes I read from you and ask that you do
the same. In this way, we will know that our notes have been read, even when
no response is necessary. |

Homework
|
Each
night (Mon-Thurs), students will bring home a book (at their reading level)
from school. This book must be read to an older sibling, a parent/guardian,
or some other adult. The title of the book should then be filled out on the
reading log, and signed by the person that the child read to.
If a parent/guardian signature is missing, your child will not receive
credit for completing his/her homework.
In
addition to nightly reading, I will send home a homework packet on Monday
(or the first day of the school week). This packet will contain different
skills that we are working on in the classroom. It is due on Friday
morning. |

Behavior Journal
|
In this pocket, your child will fill in his/her behavior color for the day.
If your child made a bad choice, he/she will write it. Be sure to
check this each night to monitor how your child is doing. |

Super-Duper Work |
This section is for completed work that has been graded and returned.
Please clean this section out each night. |
