Plan of Action
Green - Making good choices
Yellow - Verbal Warning
Red - Lose 10 min. of recess
Blue - Loss of
recess; Note sent home
Students have three opportunities a day to make better
choices. I employ the green, yellow, and red card system. Each day, your child
will start on green. If one of the rules is broken, he/she will flip a card.
Consequences for behavior begins at the second warning, or red card. The
consequences are as follows:
If
cards are flipped to red...
Lose 10 min. of recess (that day if before lunch; next day if after lunch)
If all cards are
pulled...
Lose
whole recess (that day if before lunch; next day if after lunch)
Note sent home to parents
stating what classroom rule(s)
were broken. Note must be signed by parent/guardian and returned the
next school day to avoid the lose of an additional recess.
If all cards are pulled
more than once during a
school week...
Lose whole recess (that day if before lunch; next day if after lunch)
Student will be sent to the principal's office
Phone call home to discuss behavior plan
If
there are any extreme behavior
problems, the student will immediately be sent to the office.
